Today on our 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, we're gonna be taking a look at the Titan Chain, snow tire chains. So these are a ladder-pattern style chain, what that means is we're just gonna have these cross chains going across. So these are gonna leave a little bit of gap. So we are gonna kinda go from chain to rubber to chain to rubber. These aren't gonna be the smoothest of all the chains that you have. But when it comes to ladder rack or ladder-pattern style chains, this is gonna be fairly smooth, because we do have the twist links. more

Today on our 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, we're gonna be taking a look at the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains. What we have right here is a ladder pattern style chain. What does that mean Well, we just have these cross chains going across. So these are gonna be a little bit more rough than some of the other ones that make a diamond pattern just because with these, we're gonna go from chain to tire, to chain to tire, as we rotate around. So it's gonna be a little bit rougher of a ride compared to some of the other ones, definitely gonna give you more traction than some of the cable tire chains. Just because those don't give you a whole lot of traction, but they are smoother, so it's all up to you. more

What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer today, we have a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, and we're gonna be taking a look at the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains. If you're looking for my favorite snow tire chain of all the ones we carry here, this is it, it's really quick and easy to install, and it's just definitely an upgrade from some of the other types of tire chains that we have on our website. One thing that's kind of unique to these, we have these icebreakers here, so if it is kind of icy out to, these big steel plates are going to crush that up, so you can get some traction, and we do have some diamond patterns, so we're not really gonna be going from chain to tire that often, so it's gonna be a little bit smoother of a ride compared to the some of the more aggressive chains. This is gonna to get the job done. You're gonna to get unstuck in mostly any situation. If you we're to go with something, maybe you want something a little more rugged and off road, you can go with some of the other ones but it's gonna be not near as easy of an install, or it's not gonna be not near as smooth of a ride. more

On our particular truck today we're going to be working with tire size 255 by 65 by 17 now my favorite thing about these is that they're going to be super easy to use. You're not going to have to lay on the ground and try to connect the chains down at the bottom of the tire. We're just going to wrap the chain around and come up here and clip it together. And from there on everything else will be right here in the open and really easy to get to. more

The tires we're working with today is 255:65:R17.These chains have a ladder pattern which is going to give you great grip for when you're starting, accelerating, and stopping. It has twist links that forms the cross chains. These twist links create a low-profile for this set of chains to provide you with a bit quieter ride and a bit smoother than the standard D square links.They also have four cam tensioners around the perimeter of the chain. The V-bar style links are going to provide you with superior traction through very extreme snow and ice and other off road places. The ladder pattern on the chains is going to provide you with great traction when you're starting and accelerating and when you're coming to a stop.They've got a low carbon steel construction so they're going to be very durable and last a long time. You want to be careful of using these V-bar style links on very light conditions because it'll poke through or could tear out the pavement and produce unnecessary wear and tear on your chains.These chains have a maximum street rating of 30 miles per hour and they come in a set of two in this nice canvas bag that's going to make for easy storage. more

And they're also self-tensioning so we don't have to purchase any extra rubber tensioners to put on our chain and make sure it stays snug against our tire, it's all gonna be contained right here.These chains have a diamond pattern, which offer more coverage around the tire when compared to your standard lighter pattern. It's also gonna provide with better traction through rough conditions.The square links on our chain are gonna dig into that snow and ice and give you the traction you need for starts, stops and turns.The chains have a maximum speed rating of 30 miles per hour and it comes in a set of two with this nice carrying case for easy storage. Keep in mind the tire set we're working with today is 255 65 R17.These chains are some of the quickest and easiest to install on the market. Instead of having to kneel down in the snow or lay down and get your clothes all dirty and have to reach around to make your connection, you're gonna be able to do everything from the front while, kind of, standing or squatting.Before we install our chains we're gonna pick them up. We're gonna look through and just make sure there's no broken links, no other kinks or twists. If you see any just make sure to get them out. Today in our 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to be doing a test fit on the glacier cable snow tire chains, part number PW3010C. The tires that we're working with today is 25565 R17. They cable snow tire chains are going to work well in any light conditions, but really more for a backup plan if you think you can still drive through the snow, but you just want to have a safety precaution with you. And they are a great choice for if you live in an area where you're required by law to have a set of chains in your vehicle. If you live in an area or if you frequently use your chains for heavier conditions, we might recommend upgrading to a set of steel chains because you can use those a lot more and they're gonna last a lot longer.The steel rollers that are on the cable cross wires are gonna help out with improving your traction through any type of light conditions. They're also gonna do a great job of providing a much smoother and quieter ride when compared to a set of steel chains.These chains have a maximum speed rating of 30 miles per hour and they come in a set of two with this carrying case that's gonna make for easy storage. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2006 Chevrolet Colorado PW3010C- Video
Today on our 2006 Chevrolet Colorado well be test fitting the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains for light trucks part number PW3010C on 31/10.5 -15 tires. This vehicle is rear wheel drive so well be installing the tire truck chains on the rear tires. Now to begin our test fit, we will first lay out the chains flat out on the ground to undo any kinks or tangles. This is important to ensure a correct fit on the tire. Well then tread the tire chains over the tires with the hooks facing outwards noticing the yellow indicator tab stating the direction of the tire and which side of the vehicle the chains should be installed on. Once we get the tire chains centered on the tire, well move the inside where we will connect the male and female end of the chain. more
